what kind of angel or devil are you?

brought to you by Quizilla
you are the Queen of all devils. you have very high power and you are very well respected.
but, you can't leave from your seat. once you are there you are there for all eternity and there is no way of getting out without bringing great shame upon yourself.

Your element: fire

[ music | Raven Vs. Tommy Dreamer ]

In the past few days I:

Went to a formal and danced... with a girl!
Learned to do a standing spinning Heel kick ( which encured a "whoa" from a passerby)
Fly pressed 300 pounds.
Finished my sophomore classes
Tapdanced before a great bunch of people
did a five minute handstand under a statue
knocked a punching bag off its chains (fixed it)
"cleaned" my room.

Home on Thursday. I expect dinner with friends (or, barring that, snacks with friends. or friends for snacks, I'm not picky)

Boom!

Sweet Sweet Life Update [17 Nov 2004|08:47pm]
[ music | The Devils Cry ]

I feel a great need to update, and so I shall.

Since yesterday, I've been unable to log on to AIM. Not in the "only able to sign on after five minutes of trying" way, in the "I can't get on at all" kind of way. Seeing as this is my primary way communicating with people, both both on campus and back at home, I'm getting very antsy. Apparently I'm not the only one afflicted with this problem, so if anyone out there in cyberspace knows what's going on - AOL's overhauling their servers, bombs are going off, what have you, drop me a line.

In happier news, I was cast in my first muhlenberg musical, and my first operetta role. Hell, not just that, A damn big one. I will be playing the part of the Major General in Pirates of Penzance next february. And the fun thing about this role is that I have to grow muttonchops with the connecting 'stache - the hair style that died out with the civil war. So I'll be wearing a bandanna around the bottom half of my face for a while.

Well, i've come again to that wonderful point where I've taken a genuine liking to a young lady, yet cannot muster the fortitude to ask her out. Which is my greatest problem surrounding the ladies. I always lose my nerve at the last second, probably because I've never actually asked anyone out - true fact. You know what I need. A Tom Signal. At the appropriate time, i would activeate the Tom Signal, and Tom would appear with a bottle of jaeger, slap me upside the head, tell me to Man up, drink the bottle of Jaeger, and then vanish back into the ether. A Katy Signal would be also work. Only switch the Jaeger with a dozen pixie stix. But she will be mine. Oh yes, she will be mine.

And i have a comedy show on friday. Hot Dog

Well, Pippin is over - on the whole, I give the experience a B+: I never want to work a spotlight again, but that just might be a passing thing.

Strike definately fell into the Fun category. Especially since someone had the brilliant idea of sending both Lance and I into the grid at the same time. I don't think I stopped laughing at all the whole time.

Important note - no matter if heat rises, that smoke rises, so on and so forth - when someone (Not me) smokes a bowl in the grid, everyone will smell it, despite the laws of physics.

anyway, I have my life back, which is good as the great academic gods have started to slog down the work hardcore.

I still don't know if I've been cast.

And I'm 0-5. But that's gonna change...

Things I've learned over the past few days -

if you're going to embroider something, you should damn well have an embroidery frame.

No matter how hard you try, you can never look as cool in a full head mask as they do in the comics - your dome is just the wrong shape.

If you wear a mask made of seven year old lycra, it will shed on you. And it is awful.

Even if you schedule your time perfectly, something will always happened to bite you in the ass (namely matinee shows you didn't know about)

No matter how many times you explain you're Grendel, peopel will still think you're Venom.

Everyday, I get a little bit closer to the goal.

I wish I were a ninja, or a master thief.

That way I could have back to school with all the stuff I stole from the Lord of the Rings exhibit.

But i'm not. So I don't have anything.

Not even any pictures (stupid exclusivity agreements, or whatever the hell prohibits such things)

Alright, I'm over it.

And I now have great appreciation for buisness class. It's the comfiest way back to school I have yet discovered.

(twenty minutes later)

Wow... I was in a weird head space when I wrote that.

[ music | Radiohead - Sit down, Stand up ]

Here I am, sitting at home on a saturday afternoon. Nothing much has changed.

The bus ride wasn't that bad, now that i look back on it. Yet, nothing that involves sitting in a new york bus terminal for three hours can ever really be catagorized as a "good" thing.

I saw Team America: World Police last night with Katy and Shawn. Now, i will say this: this is movie that defines "Not for everybody." Off the top of my head I can of seven people who will either not think it's funny, be offended by it, or get the overall point of it or any combination of the three. I thought it was hilarious, but of course I'm not in my right mind. But I noticed that unlike the South Park movie (which I consider one of the twenty best movies of all time, but who's counting?), which was just constant state of falling-out-of-my-chair laughing, Team America was more "LaughchucklechucklechuckleFalloutofchairlaughlaugh." But hell - any movie that has a "I miss you" based on how much Pearl Harbor sucks is doing something right.

Tune in next time, when I will talk about self-imploding college groups.

[12 Oct 2004|05:04pm]
[ music | Warren Zevon - My Shit's Fucked Up ]

It's been so long since I've updated this thing that they changed the setup on me.

Fall break approaches, where I will have a few days to rest and take a load off. Two things are a problem though. One - due to the fact that my usual ride broke down, and my family cannot come and get me, I have to take... the bus. Now, I'm not a particular fan of long car rides - I get antsy, I get twitchy. Now, Make it a ten hour ride, plus a two hour stayover in Manhattan, in a vehicle filled with strangers. In short, mwahahaohgod.

But other than that, I'm looking forward to seeing everyone. Even though I will be quite out of my mind on friday. And hungry. VEry hungry.

One of my roommates is now convinced I'm going to stab a knife through the wall, kill her, and eat her.

Not bad for only 4 weeks.

A college update. [15 Sep 2004|11:34pm]
(insert low update frequency update apology here)

The school year is in full swing, and boy, is it swinging fast. I'm taking five classes, so I have a full workload everyday (yet strangely, I managed to get fridays off, completely inadvertantly.) All my classes are managable, and my theatre classes are great.

I didn't get into any mainstages this semester, or black boxes, but I think it will ultimately work out for the better - i'll have more time to devote to my work, getting in better shape (the second I can figure out when to get to the gym), and to the comedy groups: Fun With Eggs, which is an Improvarietyfuckalucka stunt spectactular of a thing that i somehow got involved purely by living with the founding member; and my baby, The League of Undeniable Brilliancy. However, The auditions for next semester's shows, for some odd and impossible reason, are with in the next three weeks. And I'm auditioning for the pirates of frickin penzance. Put that in your herring and smoke it.

I'm Baaaaaaaaaaaack! And better than ever... [29 Aug 2004|02:52pm]
[ music | Rammstein - Spiel Mit Mir (Live Aus Berlin) ]

Before I begin, I'd just like to state that is the first journal enrty written using the keyboard on my laptop, because I'm too damn lazy to climb underneath and plug in the other one.

First and foremost, I'd just like everyone to know that I'm now back at Muhlenberg, in case I forgot to tell people and persons.

And it's great to be back. I't just flippin marvelous to see everyone again - and the old saw is true, the more things change, the more they... um... what ever the hell it was.

Yet, all is not perfect in the valley - there are several things that are wrong, bad, or need to be set right. First off, it's as hot as a toasted osprey down heah. And seeing as I'm not really designed for warm weather applications, it's just not too damn fun walking about, and walk about I do, as my friends are scattered to the four corners of the campus.

As well, I forgot to bring all of the brilliancy material that I had accumulated over the summer, and seeing as I don't really remember where I saved them, It's going to be a while until I manage to get all of it e-mailed to me.

I like my room, my room mates (wimmen!) seem to be good people. time will tell, I guess.

And now, It's time to wander

The Best Statement About Soviet Russia I Have Ever Witnessed [19 Aug 2004|12:52am]
Seen in the background of an episode of Sealab 2021:

A typical Soviet propaganda poster with the legend "I haven't eaten sliced bread since I was twelve."

That is all.

[12 Aug 2004|02:27pm]
sweet jesus almighty, I haven't written in this thing in a while.

Well, one of my plans during this summer was to write oodles and oodles of material for The League. yet there was a problem in doing that - most of the time I had an idea, and a real corker of one at that, I was unable to commit it to paper, and when I did come across some paper, or a napkin, or a chunk of skin, the whatsit had recessed back into my psyche. Due to my job, and my somewhat ill-advised improptu volunteering at smarts, I was left with very little time to myself to just sit down and bang stuff out. Moreover, I have a great difficulty writing some things without another to bounce ideas off of. Hence, one School gets back in the swing of things, I intend to write volumes of stuff.

Saturday is the great tax holiday, which I am going to take full advantage of.

And thats all for now.
